GLASS FIBRE
Glass fibre can be used for a variety of applications when certain characteristics are needed. Fabrication of glass fibre with resins into composites covers wide range of different application for the world market. Mostly E- or ECR-glass fibres are produced into chopped strand mat, nonwoven tissue, direct roving, chopped fibres and assembly rovings.
SIZING AND BINDER CHEMISTRY
Combining fibres with sizing and binders give the fibers needed qualities and characteristics to interact with the resins for the final application. Sizing and binder chemistry is one of the most important parts of the process of producing glass or basalt fibres.
BASALT FIBRE
Made from volcanic rock, basalt offers better physical and mechanical properties than fibreglass in certain applications. With lower cost than carbon fibre, basalt offers intriguing option for many applications. Challenges of continuous production limit usage in the world market.
We design, build and support fully automated manufacturing plants according to the specific requirements of each individual client.
- LIPEX has supplied around 50 percent of all working non-woven tissue machines worldwide
- LIPEX is the only supplier worldwide for machines manufacturing glass fiber staple yarn
- LIPEX also supplies equipment and technologies for producing, repairing and recycling platinum/rhodium bushings. This includes a special cleaning system together with the melting and refining procedures for all bushing materials.
- LIPEX owns the know-how to manufacture a new platinum/rhodium bushing from an old bushing within 24 hours!
- LIPEX offers continuous fiber production machinery and know-how for E-, A-, C- and S-glasses as well as glasses with other special compositions including continuous basalt fibers.
