At Zignago Vetro, we take a few small steps every day on a voyage with a precise destination: sustainability. Glass is a material that can be recycled an infinite number of times. It educates us: that is why we have made its cullet our principal raw material. Each day, we want to be a little bit more transparent and sustainable, just like it is.
We will tell you about this project, and all the actions we have already taken, in a new video. We have made it to remind ourselves that we have already done a lot, but there is still just as much to be done. We can make improvements every day. We have to: we have the honor and the obligation to construct a better world.
To help us achieve this goal, we have subscribed to the Global Compact of the United Nations and made sure our activities are in line with the 2030 Agenda. We have reduced our specific consumption of energy and of water. We have increased our use of energy from renewable sources thanks to photovoltaic and biomass plants, and we will continue to do so. We are also working alongside numerous organizations that are committed to making the planet better.
We believe in the dignity of people and in the local area in which we operate. We must give back what is merely loaned to us. These are just some of Zignago Vetro’s actions that we tell you about in the limited space of our video. We hope lots of people watch it, and that it will be a useful memory aid for all of us.
