The Solar Factory module production is the most modern and highly automated producer of photovoltaic modules worldwide. In the fiscal year 2007, the Solar Factory GmbH had a turnover of €240 million. Hence, the turnover increased in comparison to the previous year by 85 percent (2006: €129 million). The Solar Factory GmbH products are sold worldwide through marketing by the Solar World AG. The capacity of module production at the end of 2008 was at 120 MW.

With the integrated process monitoring and the comprehensive quality and management system, a consistent level of high quality is guaranteed for every module. Furthermore, the solar Factory reaches the high product quality through the use of high-end components. Therefore, the photovoltaic modules are kept dry and weather proof though a newly developed completely cast outlet.
